Event Description

Celebrate the opening of Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960–1985, with a curator tour, conversation, and performance. This daylong program honors the pioneering Latin American and Latina artists in the exhibition, and their canon-expanding contributions to contemporary art during a period of extraordinary conceptual and aesthetic experimentation.

- 11:30 am–12:30 pm Curator Tour with Cecilia Fajardo-Hill and Andrea Giunta
- 1–4 pm En Diálogo
- 1 pm Opening Remarks
- 1:30–2 pm Cecilia Vicuña in conversation with Catherine Morris
- 2–2:30 pm Barbara Carrasco and Janet Toro in conversation with Cecilia Fajardo-Hill
- 2:30–3 pm Yolanda Andrade and Catalina Parra in conversation with Carmen Hermo
- 3–3:30 pm Josely Carvalho and Analívia Cordeiro in conversation with Andrea Giunta
- 3:30–4 pm Closing Remarks
- 4–5 pm Performance of Passing Through (1977) by Sylvia Palacios Whitman
