Event Description
West Virginia-born, NYC-based singer-songwriter Olivia Ellen Lloyd has had a breakout year following up her debut record Loose Cannon (streamed over 1 million times) with her sophomore album, Do It Myself, released this March to critical acclaim. She played a sold-out Mountain Stage debut alongside Jeff Tweedy in April, and made three Midnight Ramble appearances at Levon Helm Studios, played the Brooklyn Folk Festival, and made her debut as an official showcasing artist at Americanafest.
Olivia kicked off touring with a sold-out record release show on a co-bill alongside Lizzie No at Public Records in NYC, followed by support runs with Tommy Prine and Kelsey Waldon, as well as opening slots for Sarah Shook & The Disarmers, Sammy Raye & The Friends, Jobi Riccio and more. She has been a mainstay on SiriusXM Outlaw Country all year, recording a live in-studio session in May and performing in their live broadcast showcase at Robert's Western World at Americana Fest in September. She also made her live video debut on Western AF and Paste Live Sessions.
Upon the release of "Do It Myself" in March, No Depression made her their artist of the month, The Bluegrass Situation gave the album a cover story, and Saving Country Music called it, “one of those albums that you measure all of the other albums against as the year unfolds,” in their round up of best country and roots albums of 2025.
Praise for Olivia Ellen Lloyd and Do It Myself
“From the first phrase of the title track, we know we’re receiving a message born from the artist’s singular, self- reliant vision." — Paste Magazine
“She writes a tune like no other and sure knows how to make you remember what it means to follow your dreams." — Western AF
“It’s her mastery of form that’s most immediately striking about Lloyd’s writing, to the point that it was several listens before I could even hone in on the withering wit, twangy as all hell production, and vulnerable singing.” — Country Universe
