Event Description

A new psychological technique for getting past internal blocks and towards emotional equilibrium.

In It’s Not Always Depression, psychotherapist Hilary Jacobs Hendel provides readers with new tools to identify feelings and inhibitions that prevent us from accessing our true selves. The "Change Triangle" is at the core of Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). The concepts in the book help readers move toward a state where we are calm, curious, connected, compassionate, confident, courageous, and clear. Through compelling case studies of working the Change Triangle with her own patients, Hendel explains how to apply these principles in everyday life.

Hilary Jacobs Hendel, LCSW, will be joined in conversation by Diana Fosha, PhD, the innovator of AEDP and author of The Transforming Power of Affect: A Model for Accelerated Change.
