Screenprinting Indigo
Reimagine unwanted family fabrics into something new by screenprinting clay resist patterns and overdying with indigo. Participants will learn the processes of screenprinting and dyeing with indigo and leave with reimagined textiles and a printed, indigo-dyed throw pillow cover for your home. Each participant should bring one garment or textile that they would like to reimagine.
Near Time: Teen and Adult Workshop Series
The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, Made Institute, Second State Press, and The Clay Studio, invite you and your 11-18 year old to learn and create alongside one another. In these intensive workshops, participants will learn new skills, interact with other families, and create artworks to take home with them. Workshops are 2 hours in length and will be limited to 14 participants. Some scholarships are available for interested families. Registration links for Near Time workshops offered by partner organizations can be found on their website. Please contact kparry@fabricworkshopandmuseum.org if you have any questions.
