Event Description

In the final weeks of the exhibition, MoMA’s Marron Atrium hosts the New York–based Movement Research (MR), one of the world’s leading laboratories for the investigation of dance and movement-based forms. At the Museum, MR offers classes, workshops, and discursive events, transforming the Atrium into a space for creative process and education.

Taught by MR’s internationally recognized faculty, Morning Class is an active, instruction-based session in which participants will be asked to move in place and throughout the space. The focus of each class varies depending on the instructor.

Free and open to everyone ages 18 and over. Space is limited and registration is required to participate. Registration is available online and in person on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that these classes may involve physical contact with other participants. Please wear comfortable clothes. Most classes will be conducted without shoes. Morning Classes last from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
