To celebrate PARASITE, the newest film by acclaimed director (and Brattle fave) Bong Joon-ho, we are screening one of his more overlooked films. In MOTHER, Hye-ja Kim gives an incredible performance as the mother of Do-joon, a developmentally challenged man who is charged with the murder of a young woman. Convinced of his innocence, the mother starts an investigation of her own to uncover the real murderer but may not be prepared for the consequences of her actions.
