Moments on the Mic

In 2024, Moments on the Mic was curated by Graphic Designer & Poet, Shymayne Knowings—also known as Shy. Her vision was to create a platform where spoken word artists could be heard across Georgia, with a special focus on Gwinnett County, where spoken word events were few and far between. Since its launch, the platform has grown to include comedy and music, celebrating the wide range of talent within the community. Guided by her personal motto—“Wherever I go… I will take you with me!”—Shy is committed to uplifting and showcasing the voices of the artists she works with.
