What Can We Continue to Learn From Mister Rogers?

The Barshop Jewish Community Center, in connection with the 20th Annual Start Seeing Diversity Conference Committee, will screen a 2018 documentary about children’s television pioneer, Fred Rogers, from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The movie chronicles Roger's work and his focus on relaying the value of kindness to children. Hedda Sharapan, who is featured in the documentary, will introduce the film. Hedda has been on Fred Rogers' small nonprofit staff from the beginning and now is a Senior Fellow at the Fred Rogers Center as well as a consultant for Fred Rogers Productions. This film continues to inspire us to find what is special in each of us and how together, we can make a truly wonderful neighborhood.
