NYCC NOW Mew-vie Night

New York Comic Con is happy to present Anime Mew-vie Night at the Brooklyn Cat Café. We’ll pick some classic anime to watch alongside our furry friends. Ticket purchase includes admission into the cat café for two hours, Japanese snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and giveaways provided by NYCC.

Come with your friends or meet some new ones, and feel free to chat with NYCC staff about our newly announced Anime Fest @ NYCC x Anime Expo. Cosplay is encouraged, (especially if you're coming as your favorite Nekomimi,) but not required! As part of the NYCC NOW series of events, fans can also download the app and participate in the #NYCCNOW photo hunt for a chance to win a pair of NYCC badges.

Doors open at 7:45 PM ET
Event starts at 8:00 PM ET

During the event, the cats will be out and about so if you have an allergy this may not be the event for you. After purchasing your ticket, you will need to fill out the release form at the link below (hard copies will be available to fill out at the event,) and abide by the rules of the café listed below:

Visiting the Brooklyn Cat Cafe

• All Visitors Must Sign a Release Form


• Please do not bring any of your own animals to the Brooklyn Cat Cafe.  Individuals who bring   their own animals will not be permitted to enter.


• We recommend that you sanitize your hands before entering the play area and before you leave.


• Feel free to take photos.  No flash please.


• In the case of an emergency, please immediately alert a cafe volunteer for assistance.

Age Guidelines

• Children 2 and under can enter for free.


• Children 10 and under must follow special rules. Please see below.


• Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.


• Adults-only hours are open to visitors 16 and above.


• Minors (under 18) must have an adult sign a waiver on their behalf.

Interacting with the Cats

• Cats are cats and we cannot control everything they do. While following the rules may help to limit   negative behaviors, we cannot be liable for things that may result from interacting with a cat.


• Do not pull on any cat’s tail or any part of the cat’s body.


• Be careful when picking up a cat – if in doubt ask a volunteer. We request that children 10 and under   do not pick up or carry an individual cat.


• You may gently pet sleeping cats, but you may not try to wake them up to engage in play.


• Do not disturb cats if they are eating.


• Absolutely no running and no chasing cats.


• Please do not yell or scream.


• Do not climb on any part of the furniture.


• Toys for the cats are available throughout the play area and at the reception desk. If you borrow a     toy,  please be sure to leave it with a cafe volunteer before you go.


• Do not give human food/drinks to cats.


• You may not give any food or treats to the cats without permission of a staff member.
