McKinleyJamesRoots/AmericanaBio.: McKinley James is a 19 year-old Rock & Rollguitarist/singer from Rochester, NY. His father, drummerJasonSmay (Los Straitjackets, JD McPherson Band) helpedraise McKinley in a very musical household. He startedonthe Hammond organ at 7 but discovered his passionfor guitar at 10. His influences range from HollywoodFatsto Bob Seger and Magic Sam. He started performingin Rochester blues and jazz clubs at age 13.
