Folkmoot, a word meaning "meeting of the people," provides communities all over Western North Carolina the opportunity to build a deeper sense of connection, mutual respect and shared purpose by experiencing other cultures. Dancers from 10 nations around the globe and brand new events will spark the 33rd edition of Folkmoot festival when it convenes July 21-31 in our beloved Smoky Mountains.
Enjoy two international folk dancing groups in the newly renovated Folkmoot Auditorium at one of three performances, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Great for families as children are encouraged to dance in the isles. The Sam Love Queen Auditorium is located at Folkmoot Friendship Center.
