Mamma Mia! begins as 20-year-old Sophie invites three men named in her mother’s diary to her wedding, hoping to find her father. Donna, her mother, is floored when the men actually show up and she is face-to-face with her past. With an idyllic Greek island as its backdrop and the songs of Abba at its core, this feel-good musical celebrates the search for love and the evolution of personal identity.

Mamma Mia’s frothy optimism and earworm songs are a kind of antidote to some of the isolation of the past two years,” says director Nina Lynn. “It’s been wonderful to collaborate with students and staff to bring this musical to the stage. I hope that Abba’s legendary music and the energy of the students backstage, onstage, and in the pit will have the audience singing along.”
