Cobra | Bloomfield | Ages 21+
On January 24, The Night Shift welcomes Canadian techno powerhouse Weska for what promises to be the heaviest night of the month. With releases on Drumcode, Experts Only, Realm, Factory 93, Arcane, Bedrock, and his own HYPERWAX imprint, plus support from Adam Beyer, John Summit, Gorgon City, and so many more, Weska brings a sound that fuses groove-driven techno with heavy-hitting progressive house in the Void Soundsystem. Expect a packed house and a night of pulsating, pounding techno on the Cobra dance floor.
Getting the room pumping will be Mx3 coming from Erie for his Longturn debut, followed by local heavy hitter Khan Kuma performing a special techno set for the evening.
Consider this your standing invite. Clock into the weekend: Cobra Lounge, every Saturday.

Canadian-born artist Weska has emerged as a defining voice in modern dance music, crafting tracks that fuse techno, progressive house, and indie dance. Always evolving yet unmistakably his own, his sound creates moments that feel immediate and timeless. With every release and performance, Weska is shaping the next chapter of electronic music. —-- Weska doesn't just make tracks — he builds worlds. Toronto-born and globally seasoned, Weska is a versatile creator and performer who's carved out a space between groove-driven techno, heavy-hitting progressive house, and the melodic textures of indie dance. His sound is immersive yet direct, designed for big moments, built on nuance. It's this distinctive approach that's earned him the respect of major players like Adam Beyer, John Summit, and Gorgon City. After early breakthroughs on labels like Drumcode, Cocoon, and Bedrock, Weska's rise has only accelerated. More recently, he's showcased his forward-thinking sound on platforms like Experts Only, Realm, and Armada, proving his versatility without compromising his identity. A fast-rising tastemaker with a natural instinct for momentum, Weska has taken his sound across continents. From massive festival stages to intimate rooms, he's played alongside Eric Prydz at Hi Ibiza, delivered peak-time sets at Creamfields and The Warehouse Project, and made standout appearances at Electric Island, Womb Tokyo, Avant Gardner, The Hollywood Palladium, and Drumcode Yacht Week in Croatia. His recent 9-date North American tour with Bart Skils and performances at REALM New York and Drumcode San Jose signal a new chapter - one characterized by control, confidence, and a broader creative vision. This vision comes into sharp focus with HYPERWAX, Weska's newly launched imprint and creative outlet. The way he sees it, waves are powerful, ever-changing, in constant motion, and continuously evolving - they're a force of nature that mirrors the energy and flow within his music. HYPERWAX represents his way of channeling that same spirit: unpredictable, high energy, and boundary-pushing. With more music on the way and an ever-growing global following, Weska continues to blur genre lines and challenge expectations - not by chasing trends, but by following his own sense of rhythm.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn.
Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.
Come early, stay late, dance hard ⚒️
