The Night Shift continues on June 21 with Bulgarian sensation Pavel Petrov! Born in Sofia during the fall of socialism, Pavel emerged from the vibrant post-communist music scene to become an internationally respected DJ and producer. His productions have constantly topped Beatport's indie dance and melodic techno charts, earning support from Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, and Maya Jane Coles. With releases on prestigious labels including Exploited, Glasgow Underground, Days Like Nights, Turbo, Stil Vor Talent, Suara, and his own label EXE AUDIO, Pavel's genre-defying sound reflects his unique musical journey. As the curator of Sofia's cutting-edge "EXE" events, he continues to be one of Europe's most promising electronic artists.

Getting the dance floor thumpin is our very own Koopmusik whose melodic and indie dance sounds fit Pavel's style perfectly along with Lefse making his Longturn debut. Pavel is one of the biggest artists we've ever brough to Pittsburgh and his trippy, ripping melodic techno, indie dance, and tech house style is something we've been dying to get to Cobra over the years. Born in Sofia at the cusp of the end of socialism in Bulgaria, Pavel Petrov was exposed to an environment where Western culture was just about to sweep through the capital and change his perception of music forever. Coming out of the mayhem of early post-communist Bulgaria, the vibrant and evolving scene got him recognized not only as a music selector among his peers but as an internationally respected DJ and producer. With his musical background, his talent knows no horizon when it comes to genres and styles. 

Naturally, his desire to express his musical creativity took shape in the studio. Absorbing all influences, his productions quickly started to imprint his musical cosmos. Consequently, he joined the ranks of some of the most demanded labels with his own work and remixes for the likes of Exploited, Glasgow Underground, Suara, and Lapsus Music. The larger part of his productions ranked among the Beatport charts for tech and deep house. His music is regularly selected by trendsetters like Pan-Pot, Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Maya Jane Coles, Claptone, M.A.N.D.Y., Joris Voorn, John Digweed and many more. 

His own curated events "EXE" have completed a rewarding transformation into the newest electronic music club in Sofia, where he resides and shares decks with some of the most regarded electronic music acts. Pavel Petrov is steadily continuing his ascent into the upper echelons of the wider electronic music scene and establishing himself as one of Europe's leading young artists capable of setting any crowd on fire at any time.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn.

Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.
