Special Speaker: A Short History of Disruptive Journalism Technologies with Will Mari (LSU Department of Journalism)
Saturday, February 29, 3pm – 4pm
Will Mari, assistant professor of journalism at Louisiana State University, discusses his latest book A Short History of Disruptive Journalism Technologies (2019), which provides a compelling analysis on the computerization of the newsroom, from the mid-1960s through to the early 1990s. Mari conducted some of his research on word processors here at Living Computers in 2018. https://www.routledge.com/A-Short-History-of-Disruptive-Journalism-Technologies-1850-to-2000/Mari/p/book/9780815367918
