Event Description
Listen Locally Downstairs with Tom Breiding

Tom Breiding, local Americana, folk-rock artist, and celebrated writer, chronicles small-town America through original music. His songs tell the stories that history has all but forgotten – stories that sink so deep into a person's psyche that they have to be told again.  A singer in the traditions of Woody Guthrie, Pete Seger, and Pittsburgh’s own Anne Feeney, Tom’s music is especially relevant in today’s tumultuous times.

Tom’s work has taken him all over the U.S. and through every back road and coal town of his home state, West Virginia. He is also a regular performer at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Woody's hometown of Okemah, OK.  The Carnegie Carnegie is thrilled to welcome him to the Studio for the next installment of our Listen Locally Downstairs series.
