Discover the world of birds with celebrated actor Lili Taylor, author of Turning to Birds: The Power and Beauty of Noticing.
Birds are all around us, but they aren't always noticed. This was true for author Lili Taylor, who turned to birding during a much-needed break from work as an actor. Through binoculars, she was welcomed into a beautiful, symphonic world of nature. Her book, Turning to Birds - recently selected by NYPL as one of the Best Books of 2025 - describes the joy of discovering this new world, filled with sights and sounds that are around us every day, if one stops to take a look.
Meet Lili Taylor at this special author event moderated by Tod Winston, Urban Biodiversity Specialist at NYC Bird Alliance. Plus, the first 25 attendees will receive a free copy of Turning to Birds, available while supplies last!*
Following the event, there will be a Meet and Greet with book signing.
