Lightner Museum’s mission is to preserve, maintain, research, and interpret its collection of nineteenth century art, decorative art, and material culture for the educational benefit of St. Augustine residents and the visiting public.
Otto Lightner’s collection of fine and decorative Victorian Era art and relics is housed in the former Alcazar Hotel, which was built by railroad tycoon and hotel developer Henry Flagler in 1888. The Museum opened to the public in 1948 after the hotel was purchased by Otto Lightner to house his collections.
All funding received through the membership program will support Lightner Museum’s funds for future exhibitions and programs. The Lightner Museum is a non-profit cultural institution sustained by the generous support of individuals, businesses and sponsors.
Membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Example: A membership purchased on November 15th 2019 would expire November 15th 2020. Please have your membership card with you to obtain discounts.
Memberships include North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association membership benefits, which will generally give you free or reduced admission for their general admission and may not include special exhibitions, depending on each institution. For the list of NARM participating museums, go to https://narmassociation.org/members/
