Kinetic

The music and imagery for Kinetic were first imagined in tropical Ghana, West Africa. Joe Sheehan, Kinetic's pianist and composer, spent six months studying traditional music and dance there, channeling this experience into original songs inspired by traditional and popular West African musics, jazz, and R&B. The show at the Pittsburgh Winery will present and celebrate the release of Kinetic's debut album, World of Wonder
Kinetic is comprised of Anqwenique Wingfield on vocals, special guest Anthony Ambroso on guitar, Jason Rafalak on bass, Joe Sheehan on keys, PJ Roduta on percussion, and Ryan Socrates on drums. All are versatile Pittsburgh-based musicians, having performed jazz, classical, hip-hop, pop, singer-songwriter, and world music gigs. The group has performed at the Three Rivers Arts Festival, the African Arts in the Park Festival, at James St. Gastropub and Speakeasy, Club Cafe, Thunderbird Cafe, and at Duquesne University.
