Event Description

Join a rare screening of KIKI, a feature-length documentary on NYC's LGBTQ youth of color dance and performance underground, and a panel discussion with four of its major stars: Gia Love, Chris Colon, Francisco Gonzalez and Devone Thomas.

To celebrate 50 years since the Stonewall Riots, the Bronx Library Center is hosting a series of programs about the ongoing culture of resistance among LGBTQ people in the Bronx. The first program is a screening of KIKI, a documentary which follows the lives of artists in the vibrant, underground LGBTQ youth of color who comprised the counterculture ball scene. Following the screening, Gia Love will be joined by co-stars Christopher Waldorf, Chi Chi Mizrahi, and Divo Ebony for a discussion about the film.
