Kids' Pond Skim at Hidden Valley

You won't want to miss the inaugural Kids' Pond Skim at Hidden Valley Resort on Saturday, March 8, 2025!

Children ages 6 - 17 are invited to participate in the Kids' Pond Skim and are encouraged to wear their silliest costumes as they try to skim our kid-sized pond on their skis or snowboard.  Parents, family, and friends can cheer on our Kids' Pond Skim participants from the patio and deck!

All pre-registered participants in the Kids' Pond Skim will receive a Hidden Valley Swag Bag and other participation gift.  Skimming will not be judged.

REGISTRATION

• Participant Age Requirement: Ages 6 - 17


• Pre-registration is required.  Walk-up/Day-of registrations will only be accepted based on availability.


• Registration will open at 11 a.m. inside the Lodge near the Clocktower Restaurant.

EVENT DETAILS

• Skimming will begin at 1:30 p.m.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Participant Age Requirement: Ages 6 - 17


• Children must be able to swim!


• Pond size will be approximately 40ft x 60ft with a depth up to 3ft.


• Parents / Legal Guardian must be present to sign required release waiver.


• One attempt per child.


• No backwards skimming.


• Helmets are required.


• No poles.


• Costume accessories may be prohibited at Ski Patrol's discretion. 

After the final skimmer, stick around for the Carnival with fun family games and activities in the Southridge Room from 3 - 5 p.m.
