Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration

NMOTION
NMOTION a talented group of musicians with a wide range of backgrounds, musical performances, education, and decades of experience consists of; Charles Dooley the NMotion originator and the Motown touring drummer for the deceased Edwin Starr and Starr Child on Tour Band. Edwin Starr was known for the song “War” what is it good for? Charles also performed with local bands such as “The bad Luck Blues Band” “Spice” and “Alex Boye” Charles was the Event Director during the Utah 2002 Winter Olympics booking such bands as Rick James, Eddie Money, Quiet Riot, and many other bands both local and touring. Charles formed NMotion with Anthony “Amp” Worthy the bass player who served in the Air Force performed overseas in Taiwan and in Utah with such bands as “Control”, “Armed and Dangerous” which became the original “Sensations”. Anthony “T-Ray” Summerhays joined NMotion and plays keyboards, trumpet, guitar, and sings. T-Ray has performed with “The Walter and Hays Band” “The New Citations” and performs solo currently for over 25 years as “The One-Man Band” at various events. Michael Malloy was inspired to play guitar in (1968) when he witnessed guitar strings being put on a guitar, he has been performing with such notables as “Crossroads”, “The Co-Dependants”, “The Sensations”, “Sin City Soul”, and now “NMotion”. Greg Lang has been singing for years both in church choirs and in Motown concerts. Greg is a great frontman with plenty of character to charm any audience. Hope E. Ayers vocals, Hope has accomplished many gospel performances in Las Angeles California, Denver, and Europe. Hope has a very soulful voice and has performed with “4Real”, “Blackheads”, ”Lucky Lloyd”, and “The Blues Shockers” Hope is working on completing her first blues album. Alex Baca saxophones and vocals Alex inspired by TOP “Tower of Power” who he has met saxophone player Lenny Pickett and Emilio Castillo and was the proud neighbor of Bobby Mcferrin. Alex wants to continue performing soul, funk, R&B, Jazz, and Blues with our seasoned musicians with the NMotion Band. James Morris congas, bongos, guitar, and vocals, James who signed a two-year contract in 1975 with AMG records as a songwriter produced two singles “We Could Work it out” and “Love Affair” which are on most music media sources. James has performed with many music notable’s such as Kurt Bestor, Bo Diddley and has opened for such groups as the Ohio Players and BB King. Dylan Wolfe trombone and vocals has been playing trombone since he was 12, specializing in jazz, funk, classical to neo-soul. He has performed with Caleb Chapman's “La Onda Caribeña”, Caleb Chapman's “Crescent Super Band”, the “Westminster Jazz Ensemble”, and now NMotion. Katie “Lady K” Lewis is currently a solo project vocalist. Katie has always been influenced by R&B, Funk, Soul, and particularly the “oldies”. Katie has placed in the finals of various singing competitions; she has also been known to have the most soulful voice in Utah. Katie has performed with such local bands as “Controversy” (aka Inner City) “Higher Ground”, and featured performances with bands such as “NMotion”. Katie is looking forward to her journey working with her father Johnny to learn guitar and explore her gift as a soulful singer.
