Jazz in the Vines: Richard Elliot

New York Wine Events is proud to present two summer nights of contemporary smooth jazz on the grounds of the beautiful Jamesport Vineyards on the North Fork of Long Island.

Step away from the grape vines that produce award winning wines, you will be treated to the sounds of award-winning jazz artists Matt Marshak (July 30th) and Richard Elliot (August 27th) , along with their talented bands.

FOOD

Attendees will be able to order delicious wood-fired flat bread pizza and cheese platters pre-show.

WINE

Jazz in the Vines attendees can order wines by-the-glass from the award-winning selections from the master winemakers at Jamesport Vineyards.

About Richard Elliot

Richard Elliot received a Grammy Award nomination for his saxophone work on Summer Horns. He's called a "smooth jazz" artist, but Elliot is equally at home in many styles. For five years in the 1980s, he was a big part of the classic R&B band Tower of Power. Elliot landed his first job while still a teenager with Natalie Cole and the Pointer Sisters. A few years later, he was tapped to record with some of his idols from Motown Records, which had relocated from Detroit to Los Angeles. In the 1970s, he had the chance to record with Smokey Robinson, the Four Tops, and the Temptations.
