ITP - Sun King Warriors

Event #2 in the Indiana Theater Presents series features another regional rock icon, Jim Donvan and the Sun King Warriors.

The Sun King Warriors are best described as a blend of rhythm heavy roots rock, with a strong dose of big barreling drums. Think bluesy Zeppelin-esqe rock and Santana style percussion with wild Avett Brothers energy. They play an energizing mix of danceable originals and fun 70s, 80s, 90s covers including The Clash, Led Zeppelin and Donovan's former band Rusted Root. At a Sun King show, you can expect to dance, sweat and have a *very* good time.

Joining the Sun King Warriors is Tres Lads, an accoustic trio from Pittsburgh featuring three of the city’s top vocalists and guitarists. All three members sing lead and play guitar, creating soaring vocals and three-part harmonies on covers of favorites like Journey, Queen, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Oasis, Cheap Trick and many more. Whether they’re sharing the stage with Bad Company and The Clarks, headlining festivals, or playing at The Hard Rock Café, every performance is a “show” and will leave you wanting more!
