The Comedy Resistance Presents: Hollywood Union Benefit Show with Al Madrigal +more!

The over 3,300 members of the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) design the worlds where stories live. From enchanted kingdoms to the streets of today, our members craft the environments that bring film, television, and theater to life. Representing Production Designers and Art Directors, Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists, Set Designers and Model Makers, Illustrators and Matte Artists, the ADG is dedicated to fostering creativity, promoting education, ensuring safety, and advancing the future of our crafts.

 

With the help of Yondr bags, we at the Comedy Store create phone-free spaces for artists and comedians.  

What that means:  Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches are placed in Yondr cases and will be unlocked at the end of the show.  Guests maintain possession of these items at all times.  Guests may also access their phones at any time only in the designated Phone Use Areas throughout the venue.  All phones will be re-secured upon returning to the event space.

Anyone seen using a device during the performance in a non-designated area will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.

Because our shows are in such high demand, we are not able to hold seat after the show starts.


Ticket holders should be checked in or in line by showtime. Once the show has started, your seat may not be held. Any open seats will be made available to standby customers. All late arrivals or unclaimed tickets will be void and non-refundable.

Al Madrigal

Best known as the Senior Latino Correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Al Madrigal has made a name for himself in stand-up comedy, acting and as a writer. He stars in the movie Night School with Kevin Hart, The Way Back with Ben Affleck and the upcoming Morbius for SONY with Jared Leto. On the TV side, Al was a series regular and writer on Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here and most recently worked as a writer, actor and producer on the CBS sitcom Broke. His critically acclaimed hour special, “Shrimpin’ Ain’t Easy” premiered on Showtime in 2017. He is also the co-founder of the All Things Comedy network, alongside fellow comic Bill Burr.
