Alessia Paolini ~ Soprano

Antonella Di Giulio ~ Pianist

Who could better offer the perfect rendition of an "all American" program...if not a "fresh" off the boat Italian duo??

There will be songs by some of the most iconic American classical composers such as Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, as well as famous Broadway tunes like Somewhere over the Rainbow, My favorite Things and West Side Story. Will Alessia and Antonella be able to pull off the feeling of a true American experience? (language barrier not withstanding!)

Come to Pausa on April 9th to find out! A good time for one and all is guaranteed!

Antonella Di Giulio, Ph. D. is a pianist, a music theorist, a pedagogue, author, and speaker.

In addition to her doctorate in Music Theory and Musicology at the University at Buffalo, Antonella Di Giulio holds a master's degree in piano performance from the same University, post-diploma certifications in piano performance, a diploma in piano from the Conservatory Santa Cecilia in Rome (Italy). She presented her research for music analysis in several national and international conferences. She regularly performs as a pianist for a number of associations and festivals, both as a soloist and in different chamber music ensembles. Antonella has been acclaimed for her exciting pianism and for her attention to the quality of sound, and has received particular praise for her outstanding pedagogical engagement.
