In support of the WeHo LAFD, we are gathering gift donations for local kids and teens for this holiday season. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate. Remember that organizations are always short on gifts for small children and teens!

With the help of Yondr bags, we at the Comedy Store create phone-free spaces for artists and comedians.  

What that means:  Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches are placed in Yondr cases and will be unlocked at the end of the show.  Guests maintain possession of these items at all times.  Guests may also access their phones at any time only in the designated Phone Use Areas throughout the venue.  All phones will be re-secured upon returning to the event space.

Anyone seen using a device during the performance in a non-designated area will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.

David Spade

David Spade became a household favorite during his tenure as a cast member on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live”. For his memorable role as Dennis Finch, the wise-cracking, power-hungry assistant on “Just Shoot Me”, Spade received nominations for a 1999 Emmy Award, Golden Globe, and American Comedy Award. He continues to be a box office draw, touring his stand-up shows nationwide. His most recent stand-up special “Nothing Personal” debuted on Netflix in 2022. Currently, Spade can be heard co-hosting his podcast “Fly on the Wall”, alongside fellow SNL alumni Dana Carvey. In each episode, they interview cast members, hosts, writers, and musical guests, as they share never-before told stories about their careers and how SNL's cultural history has impacted their lives beyond the show. The podcast premiered #1 in the comedy category and in the top five overall on Apple’s podcast chart, and has since been nominated for Podcast Of The Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards. Now on its second season, the podcast has featured interviews with Sir Paul McCartney, Lorne Michaels, Jimmy Fallon, Martin Short, Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Molly Shannon, Tom Hanks, and many more. The audio book was a New York Times best-seller and was well received by critics and fans. Spade was also seen in the Netflix original comedy, Father Of The Year which was one of the highest streamed films globally on Netflix. Prior to that, Spade starred in the Netflix original comedy The Do-Over, opposite Adam Sandler and Paula Patton, which is one of Netflix’s biggest original film releases. In 2015, Spade reprised his role as the hilarious and endearing “white trash” misfit, Joe Dirt, in the sequel to the cult classic, Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, directed by Fred Wolf, with whom he also co-wrote the script. The film has been streamed over two million times, making it Crackle’s most watched original movie to date. In 2012, Spade was heard as the voice of Griffin the Invisible Man in the animated feature, Hotel Transylvania alongside Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Kevin James, and Andy Samberg, among others. He reprised his role in the film’s sequel, Hotel Transylvania 2, and returned for the third installment hotel transylvania 3: summer vacation. He reprised his role in Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania, which was released on Amazon Prime in 2022. Other popular film credits include Sony Pictures’ Benchwarmers and Paramount Pictures’ DICKIE Roberts: Former Child Star, the latter which he co-wrote with Fred Wolf. He also had a memorable guest starring role on the critically acclaimed “The Larry Sanders Show” and appeared in HBO’s “13th Annual Young Comedians Special”. Spade has also had several well-received standup comedy specials, including Comedy Central’s “David Spade: My Fake Problems,” 2014.nnBorn in Birmingham, Michigan, and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Spade began his career by performing stand-up comedy in clubs, theaters and colleges across the country. He made his television debut on SNL and was soon named the “Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year” by Rolling Stone Magazine. As a writer and a performer on SNL for five years, he is best known for his memorable characters including the sarcastic “Hollywood Minute” reporter on “Weekend Update” and catch phrases like “And you are…?” and “Buh-Bye!”.

Arsenio Hall

Arsenio Hall is an American actor, comedian, and former talk show host. He is best known for his talk show The Arsenio Hall Show, which ran between 1989 and 1994, and his roles in the films Coming to America and Harlem Nights.nHall was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Anne and Fred Hall, a Baptist minister. Hall performed as a magician when he was a child. He attended Warrensville Heights High School in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. After he graduated, he attended Ohio University, where he was on the speech team with future actress Nancy Cartwright and future news anchor Leon Harris. He then transferred to Kent State University.nHe later moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. Hall was the original voice of Winston Zeddemore in the cartoon The Real Ghostbusters from 1986?1987. In 1988, he co-starred in the comedy film Coming to America with Eddie Murphy. In 1984, he was also the announcer/sidekick for Alan Thicke during the ill-fated talk show Thicke of the Night.nnIn 1986, the Fox network introduced The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers, created to directly challenge The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. After a moderate start, ratings for the show sagged. Behind-the-scenes relations between Rivers and network executives at Fox quickly eroded, and Rivers left in 1987. Renamed The Late Show, it featured several hosts including Ross Shafer, Suzanne Somers, Richard Belzer, and Robert Townsend before it was cancelled in 1988. Hall was chosen to host the show in the fall of 1987, and proved to be immensely popular.

Andrew Santino

Andrew stars in FX’s most-watched comedy series, DAVE alongside LIL’ DICKY. Santino starred in the SHOWTIME series, I’M DYING UP HERE exec produced by Jim Carey and directed by Jonathan Levine. He also appeared in GAME OVER MAN written and produced by THE WORKAHOLICS crew. Previously, Santino was the star of ABC’s comedy MIXOLOGY. Andrew co-hosts the very popular podcast, BAD FRIENDS, with comedian Bobby Lee. He also has his own solo podcast WHISKEY GINGER and both combined accumulate upwards of a million downloads per week. His SHOWTIME hour-long stand-up special “HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE” debuted in 2017. His COMEDY CENTRAL HALF HOUR stand up special was released alongside his debut album SAY NO MORE on COMEDY CENTRAL RECORDS. Andrew was a regular guest on COMEDY CENTRAL’S @ MIDNIGHT with Chris Hardwick. He made his standup debut on ADAM DEVINE’S HOUSE PARTY and since has performed standup on CONAN and THE MELTDOWN WITH JONAH AND KUMAIL. Santino headlined at Montreal’s JUST FOR LAUGHS COMEDY FESTIVAL as well as SXSW and numerous venues across the country. Andrew got his start acting and writing on the final season of PUNK’D for MTV and since then he has guest-starred on THIS IS US, ADULT SWIM’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, NETFLIX’S ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, HBO’S FAMILY TREE, NBC’s THE OFFICE, FX’s THE LEAGUE and HULU’s DEADBEAT.

Adam Ray

Adam Ray currently plays the iconic role of Vince McMahon in YOUNG ROCK for NBC, the story of Dwanye “The Rock” Johson’s life. Ray most recently was seen in HACKS on HBOMAX, and starred in the indie comedy THE BELLMEN, also starring Thomas Lennon & Richard Kind. Ray also guest starred on last season of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT for Netflix, as well as season 2 of AMERICAN VANDAL. Harland Williams

Comedian and actor Harland Williams is known the world over for his hilarious movie roles and outlandish stand-up and sketch comedy routines.nnWilliams was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Lorraine Mary (O’Donnell), a social worker, and John Reesor Williams, a lawyer who served in the Ontario legislature. Williams has starred in numerous unforgettable roles such as the pee-drinking cop in “Dumb and Dumber”, the loveable horse-killing stoner, Kenny in “Half Baked”, the hitchhiking serial killer in “There’s Something About Mary”, the silent motorcycle stud Slater, in “Superstar”, the goof-ball astronaut Fred Z. Randall in “Rocketman,” the whale-calling Sonar in “Down Periscope”, and Robert/Roberta in the world of “Sorority Boys.”nnWilliams is also seen regularly on “Late Night with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brian.” He has done solo stand-up comedy specials for HBO, Comedy Central, CTV, and CBC. Esther Povitsky

Esther Lauren Povitsky, also known as Little Esther, is an American actress, comedian, writer, and producer living in Los Angeles, California. She is the co-creator and star of the comedy series Alone Together. Povitsky moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy and acting full-time after attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She studied comedy at iO Chicago, The Second City, and The Groundlings. She frequently performs stand-up comedy at venues throughout Los Angeles, California, including The Comedy Store, The Ice House, and The Improv. She plays Maya on the critically acclaimed series Crazy Ex Girlfriend. Other recent television appearances include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Love, and Parks and Recreation. Povitsky also survived several rounds of 2015's Last Comic Standing (season 9), drawing praise from judge Roseanne Barr in particular. Povitsky was the first female guest to appear on The Joe Rogan Experience, after which she began podcasting with DEATHSQUAD regularly. She hosted Little Esther's Piecast and co-hosts Brode & Esther with fellow comedian Brody Stevens as well as Weird Adults with Little Esther and Glowing Up with Esther and Caroline. She often appears as a guest on the network's Ice House Chronicles. In 2012, Povitsky turned down an offer from MTV to do a reality show based on her life as a comedian because she felt the series would be too invasive. In 2015, Povitsky wrote, starred in, and self-produced the short film Alone Together. The short was later adapted into a pilot for Freeform, produced by The Lonely Island. In December 2016, the pilot was picked up to series. In October, 2017, Freeform renewed the series for a second season ahead of its January 2018 debut.
