Holiday Opening Weekend - Explore at Your Own Pace

New this year, Lyndhurst will host an "Explore at Your Own Pace" weekend for our Holiday season opening. Black Friday weekend is the only time during the holiday season that visitors can explore the mansion without a guided tour.

See Lyndhurst mansion transformed into an extravagant wonderland of holiday splendor. Make family memories throughout the wonderland of holiday vignettes. Our guides will be posted throughout the house to answer questions.

Tickets for this weekend are for general admission with timed entry. You may enter the mansion between the two-hour time frame of your chosen time slot.

For times when online sales have sold out, limited tickets will be available for purchase on site on a first-come, first-served basis. There may be a wait if the mansion is at capacity. Refreshments, shopping, and selfie stations are available in the Welcome center while you wait.

Tickets purchased online are $18 for adults, $17 for seniors, and $16 for children (6-16).
Tickets purchased on site are $20 for adults, $19 for seniors, and $18 for children (6-16).
This weekend only: no charge for children under 6.

Hours: Mansion entry hours are between 10 am - 4:00 pm, Friday through Sunday. Mansion closes at 5 pm

Plan Your Trip:

• All ticket holders must check in at the Lyndhurst Welcome Center before proceeding to the mansion.


• Please wear shoes appropriate for walking on the grounds.


• Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors, however, as a historic building, only the first floor of the mansion is wheelchair accessible.


• No large bags or backpacks will be permitted within the mansion.


• Children under 18 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times.


• If the mansion is at capacity, you may be asked to wait briefly in the Welcome Center before proceeding to the mansion.
