Event Description

History Uncorked: Roaring ’20s, presented by BNY Mellon, offers an evening of fun, discovery, dancing, and activities that all partygoers can enjoy – not to mention great food and beverages from Pittsburgh's hot spots. History Uncorked: Roaring ’20s will feature live entertainment and activities including a photo booth, silent auction, and the ever-popular fifth floor dancing with DJ Mad Maxx.

This year’s event is inspired by the History Center’s upcoming exhibition, American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition, which explores the infamous era of flappers, suffragists, bootleggers, and real-life legends like Al Capone and Carry Nation. American Spirits, which guests will be able to experience at Uncorked, brings the Prohibition era vividly to life through more than 100 rare artifacts and original ratification copies of the 18th and 21st Amendments.

Uncorked will offer a silent auction, an evening of great food from Pittsburgh’s hottest local eateries, delicious drinks from Wigle Whiskey and Penn Brewery, and more:

  • Attempt to break out of Enter the Imaginarium's pop-up escape room, brought to you by Yelp Pittsburgh and featuring Arcade Comedy Theater

  • Snap speakeasy selfies in a ’20s-themed photobooth

  • Enjoy live entertainment by The Boilermaker Jazz Band

  • Show off your best moves with DJ Mad Maxx on the 5th floor dance floor

  • Explore six floors of engaging exhibits, including American Spirits and the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum

Plus, channel your inner Gatsby and come dressed to impress in 1920s-inspired attire!

Guests must be age 21 and over to attend and must provide ID at door.
