With the help of Yondr bags, we at the Comedy Store create phone-free spaces for artists and comedians.  

What that means:  Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches are placed in Yondr cases and will be unlocked at the end of the show.  Guests maintain possession of these items at all times.  Guests may also access their phones at any time only in the designated Phone Use Areas throughout the venue.  All phones will be re-secured upon returning to the event space.

 

Anyone seen using a device during the performance in a non-designated area will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.


About The Original Room


This is where it all started. April 7th, 1972. This is the room where The Store became the home of American Comedy. Known for its intimate shows and late nights, The Original Room is the favorite space for super star comedians and after midnight heroes to test material, find their voices, and riff with the piano player.

Because our shows are in such high demand, we are not able to hold seat after the show starts.


Ticket holders should be checked in or in line by showtime. Once the show has started, your seat may not be held. Any open seats will be made available to standby customers. All late arrivals or unclaimed tickets will be void and non-refundable.

Neal Brennan

Neal Brennan is a director, writer, actor, and comedian known for co-creating and co-writing the Comedy Central series Chappelle's Show with Dave Chappelle. Chappelle and Brennan wrote and produced virtually every sketch themselves. In the second season, Brennan was allowed to officially direct, and helmed such sketches as “Charlie Murphy/Rick James,” “The Racial Draft,” “Charlie Murphy/Prince,” and the “John Mayer Sketch.” Brennan received three Emmy nominations for Chappelle’s Show; one for directing “Rick James,” the other two for writing and producing. Chappelle’s Show is the number one selling television show DVD of all time, selling nearly nine million units. Ask your parents what DVDs are.nnBrennan continues to perform stand-up regularly in the Los Angeles area as well as nationally. His first one-hour stand-up special Women and Black Dudes premiered on Comedy Central in 2014. In 2017, Brennan released his second one-hour stand-up special 3 Mics on Netflix to widespread critical acclaim. 3 Mics features Brennan switching between three different microphones symbolizing three different styles of comedy. On January 1st, 2019 Brennan released an all new half hour of material on Netflix as part of the Comedians of the World series. Brennan has also performed stand-up on Last Call with Carson Daly, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Lopez Tonight, and Conan.nnAs a film director, Brennan has helmed feature films, television episodes, documentaries, stand-up specials and nationally syndicated commercials. His directing credits include the feature film The Goods starring Jeremy Piven, multiple episodes of Inside Amy Schumer, JAY-Z’s 4:44 documentary series that featured Will Smith, Chris Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Michael B. Jordan, Trevor Noah, and other celebrities, comedian Michelle Wolf’s critically acclaimed one-hour HBO special Nice Lady, a series of commercials for the ESPY’s, and several nationally syndicated commercials for major brands featuring celebrities and athletes including Lebron James.nnIn 2011, Brennan, comedian Moshe Kasher, and DJ Douggpound, started a podcast called The Champs which ran until 2016. Guests on the show included actor/comedians Wayne Brady, Chris Rock, Mario Joyner, Shawn and Marlon Wayans, and David Alan Grier, adult film star Lexington Steele, rapper Too $hort, and professional basketball player Blake Griffin.nnBrennan co-wrote the cult classic film Half Baked with Chappelle as well as episodes of SNL that featured Chappelle and Aziz Ansari as hosts. He also wrote comedy material for the 83rd Academy Awards and for Seth Meyers’ speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2011. In that speech, Meyers infamously poked fun at Donald Trump, who was in the audience. nnStarting in 2016, Brennan became a contributor to The Daily Show with Trevor Noah as Trevor's friend Neal.

Comedian JESSICA MICHELLE SINGLETON is a powerhouse of comedy in a teeny tiny package - known for her high energy, overly honest, and always silly performances. nnJMS skyrocketed to international comedy acclaim after becoming the first ever English speaking comedian to perform at the prestigious Montreux Comedy Festival which lead to two sold out European tours and one in South Africa. Her debut hour special, ‘Hi Y’all’ was released on YouTube in October 2025. Jessica is the breakout star of Iliza’s Locals (Hulu), a comedy special series produced by Iliza Shlesinger. Its hard to keep a straight face when talking to Chris Spencer. Extremely talented and hilarious, this quick-witted funnyman has a resume spanning over 30 years since his start in the business at six years old. Today, his resume ranges across several sectors of the industry – acting, writing, producing, directing and stand-up. With more than thirty television commercials, nine feature films, numerous television show appearances, a published book and nationwide comedy tours under his belt, Spencer is truly at the top of the entertainment game. nnHe co-created, along with Kevin Hart, BET’s hit original faux reality series Real Husbands of Hollywood and was also instrumental in the success of Nick Cannon’s Wild’n Out. nnHe recently directed his first feature. A comedy in the vein of The Full Monty Meets White Mike starring Tiffany Haddish, Wesley Snipes, Spencer Moore, Faizon Love, Gary Owen, JB Smoove and Bill Bellamy entitled Back on the Strip! nnChris has also been the head writer for countless shows such as The Emmy’s, The ESPY Awards, The Mark Twain Prize, Laugh In’s 50th Anniversary, The BET Awards, SNL, NAACP Image Awards, Grown-ish, The Hip Hop Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards…to name a few. nnChris currently has major projects with NBC Peacock, Universal, Viacom and has published the bestselling book 150 Ways to Tell If You’re Ghetto and is working on a new book called The Shepherd where he shares his experiences of working with the G.O.A.T.S of comedy such as Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Wanda Sykes and Jamie Foxx to name a few.

Argus Hamilton

Meet the funniest topical comedian in America, the man Robin Williams once called “the Will Rogers of the Baby Boom.” Argus Hamilton’s daily column of jokes on the news, now carried in over 100 newspapers across the United States, is also read and heard by millions on the Internet and on radio stations across the country. Argus James Hamilton III is the son, grandson and great-grandson of Methodist ministers in the South. A proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma and now based in Los Angeles, Argus brings an unusual perspective to the news from Washington and around the country. “I’m an English Monarchist and a Southern secessionist,” Argus says. “Let’s see Rush Limbaugh get to the right of that.” Argus performs at corporate, political and charity events around the country. He is regularly quoted by daily newspapers including The San Francisco Chronicle and the Los Angeles Times, by weekly business papers including the Orange County Business Journal, by Time magazine and by radio personalities including Paul Harvey. Argus was honored by Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry as the official comedian of the Oklahoma Centennial and appeared with the governor in the 2007 Tournament of Roses Parade.

Dean Delray

Dean Delray is a case study of turning passion into a labor of love, merging his affinity with music and comedy into a thriving career on stage and a growing podcast network. When he’s not talking to musicians on his podcast, Let There Be Talk, chances are he is headed to his next stand up comedy gig, having performed almost 5,500 times over the past 13 years.nnDelray has been a fan of comedy from his early years, taking in work of the greats like Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Cheech & Chong and the early Saturday Night Live gang. Delray’s path to the comedy stage started at open mic nights, honing his no-holds-barred and hard-livin’ perspective that has earned him feature spots on The Joe Rogan Experience, WTF with Marc Maron, You Made it Weird with Pete Holmes and recently opening for Metallica at their 40th Anniversary concert.

Dave Helem

Dave Helem is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer from Chicago, Illinois. He attributes his sense of humor to the fact that he believes there is something funny in every facet of human life. He has headlined numerous venues and has performed on tour in numerous cities with Hannibal Buress and Tony Rock. He has also toured with Doug Stanhope and Tracy Morgan. Dave successfully completed a two-month residency at the Woolly Mammoth Theater in Washington D.C. for Second City’s Black Side of the Moon, where he helped create and write the most successful selling show in the history of that theater. He was a writer for Comedy Central’s Hood Adjacent. Dave recently taped Laff Tracks (Tru TV) that will air in the fall of 2018. He is currently living in Los Angeles as a staff writer for the FOX sitcom REL.

Bruce Gray

Bruce Gray is a Comedian, Actor, and Podcaster based out of Los Angeles, California. He started comedy at the age of 18 in his hometown of Bakersfield, California, where most venues would make him wait outside until it was his turn to perform (sometimes in the rain). He has appeared in multiple TV shows and Music Videos including “I Think You Should Leave” On Netflix, “Game Shakers” on Nickelodeon, “Kings Dead” by Kendrick Lamar, and “Earthquake” by RiceGum and KSI. He is a leading member of the incredibly popular “Comedians Cinema Club” show cast, which won the award for Best Audience Participation show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Bruce is the co-host of the “BagFries” podcast as well as the podcast “Fat Jocks”. He can be seen performing stand-up nightly in Los Angeles at clubs such as The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, and The Ice House. He won “Best Of Fest” at the Golden Spike Comedy Festival in Salt Lake City and has performed with comedians as Joe Rogan, Bill Burr, Bobby Lee, Whitney Cummings, Doug Stanhope, Theo Von, Andrew Santino, Kyle Kinane and many others.
