The Stone Bridge Players, a Johnstown-based theatre company under the direction of Rodney Eatman, will present the classic comedy Harvey at the Johnstown Flood Museum! All proceeds benefit JAHA. The play will be presented June 28, 29 & 30 and July 5, 6 & 7. All shows are at 7:00 pm.
Elwood P. Dowd insists on including his friend Harvey in all of his sister Veta’s social gatherings. Trouble is, Harvey is an imaginary six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit. To avoid future embarassment for her family—and especially for her daughter, Myrtle Mae—Veta decides to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium. At the sanitarium, a frantic Veta explains to the staff that her years of living with Elwood’s hallucination have caused her to see Harvey also, and so the doctors mistakenly commit her instead of her mild-mannered brother!
The cast features Dan Morgan, Kyra Kozielec-Gilmore, Tamera Gindlesperger Fisher, Joshua Watts Jayme Lee Brooks, Mike Petrunak, Paul Douglas Newman, Doyle Yernaux, Ron Carnevali, Lauren Crytzer, and Jeanne LaPorta-Clark. Stage manager is Angela R. Godin, with scenic design by Jesse and Pat Dixon, properties by Suzan Mulkey, and lighting by Thomas Brubaker. Producer is David Ward, and of course the director is Rodney Eatman.
