An intimate gallery talk with FWM Artist-in-Residence Ahmed Alsoudani, who will be guiding visitors through the themes and works in his solo exhibition, Bitter Fruit, opening at FWM on November 12. Alsoudani is known for his vivid and surreal paintings. Translating the imagery from his paintings, Alsoudani and the FWM Studio staff created a new series of large-scale sculptures. These grotesque yet compelling forms draw from Alsoudani's own experiences with war-torn devastation and mass violence, evoking the ways in which widespread conflict can be internalized. Join us to learn more about Alsoudani’s work and this integral evolution of his practice. Registered students will be asked to show their student IDs when checking in for the event.
