- Details
The Festival of Winds, Brass and Percussion offers middle and high school students an opportunity to perform in ensembles of like instruments under the directions of artists from VCU's Wind and Percussion faculty, and to spend the day in concentrated study of their individual instruments. Over the past 29 years, the festival has grown to involve eight separate homogenous instrumental ensembles, such as the clarinet choir, the brass choir and the percussion choir, and includes more than 300 students annually. It has served as a model for similar events at other universities across the United States.
Note: Online registration has been extended - registration will now close on January 20 at 5 p.m. There will be limited spaces for walk-up registration on Saturday, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
