Folkmoot USA–The Official International Folklore Festival of North Carolina

Folkmoot is a two-week celebration of the world’s cultural heritage through folk music and dance. Held each summer across the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, Folkmoot features performances, a parade and workshops by over 200 dancers and musicians from 7 to 9 diverse international countries along with local Cherokee and Appalachian performers

Performers demonstrate cultural heritage through colorful, authentic and original reproduction costumes, lively dance and traditional music. During its 35-year history, over 300 folk groups from more than 100 countries have shared their heritage and culture at the Folkmoot Festival.

Folkmoot dancers and musicians will travel to Hickory for a one afternoon only performance on Sunday July 22, 2018 from 2pm - 4pm. Tickets are only $10 for adults. Children 12 years of age and under are free this year. $5 13-18 years of age.

There is no reserved or paid parking for performances at SALT Block Auditorium.
