Event Description
Finnish Murder Ballads: Pekko Käppi

Pekko Käppi, a Finnish folk musician, composer, and singer, has revolutionized the ancient jouhikko, a bowed lyre. He incorporates elements of blues, rock, and experimental chaos into traditional songs that draw their inspiration (and bloodlust) from age-old murder ballads. Käppi is joined by Tommi Laine (cigar-box guitars, vocals, percussion) and Nuutti Vapaavuori (cigar-box bass, vocals).
