Playing The Game: SINGLE-USE PASS

Do you ever play a really funny scene but have no idea how you did it? Are you throwing spaghetti at the wall looking for laughs? Do your scenes feel random, unfocused, or just plain weird? In this workshop, you will practice finding, naming, and playing the Game of the scene. This systematic approach to scene work will give you a structure to "follow the funny" through explorations of unusual characters. Based on techniques from Del Close, UCB, and hundreds of class hours, instructor Nick Medina will give you tools to take control of the laughs and make your scenes and sets smarter, funnier, and more reliable. 

Students who purchase the 7 CLASS MULTI-PASS save 35.00 and are also invited to an Instructor Student Jam to be held in the Curious Comedy Main Theater on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

You can buy a 7 CLASS MULTI-PASS to get register for all 7 skill-focus classes, or select any number of SINGLE USE passes to register for one class at a time.

  As of 10/1/22 - At this time we are not requiring proof of vaccination or masks to attend our shows and events. We strongly encourage those who can get vaccinated to do so for your safety and the safety of others. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, we encourage you to do so.
