Event Description

Get into the Halloween spirit as special guests screen and discuss their most memorable and frightening movie experiences. Over three fright-filled nights, filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, playwright Jeremy O. Harris, actress Zazie Beetz, and actor-writer David Rysdahl present the films that made them the most scared they’ve ever been, followed by conversations with each presenter. On Halloween night, the series closes with an after party featuring a DJ set by Little Cinema.

Schedule:

  • October 29:  The Evil Dead (Sam Raimi, 1981, 85 min.) with Jim Jarmusch

  • October 30: Eve’s Bayou (Kasi Lemmons, 1997, 106 min.) with Jeremy O. Harris

  • October 31: Under the Shadow (Babak Anvari, 2016, 84 min.) with Zazie Beetz and David Rysdahl
