Join us for an engaging lecture to close out the spring series from the Florida Humanities Council. Dr. Roger Smith will be sharing secrets about the role that Florida played in the American Revolution. His focus on newly recovered information concerning British intentions in the southern colonies during the American Revolution. Dr. Smith’s research reveals that not only was the South crucial to the needs of the empire from 1775 on, but that East and West Florida played critical roles in these designs. Concerned citizen need this information!
The event will take place in the Historic Lobby of the Lightner Museum, which can be accessed by side entrances located off Grenada and Cordova Streets. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for refreshments and seating; the lecture will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Seating is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. Be sure to purchase your tickets early!
