Hello FFTCG NA players.
As we’re sure you’re aware, COVID-19 (also known as the “novel coronavirus”) is spreading within the East Asia region.
The staff at Hobby Japan regretfully had to make the decision to forego overseas travel, as well as postpone events in their own region for the time being. This decision is based on a desire to avoid any potential spread of the virus, and to prioritize the health and safety of our staff and fans.
Due to these circumstances, Square Enix has decided to cancel FFTCG North America Fan Fair 2020. This event is designed to connect FFTCG fans with the developers of the game and, unfortunately, current circumstances, will prevent us from delivering on this experience. For those of you who purchased Fan Fair tickets, refunds will be issued by ShowClix. The refund process will begin next Monday (2/24), but the time you receive it may vary. Please reach out to ShowClix (showclix.com) should you have any questions.
North America Crystal Cups and L3 Opens are currently unaffected and will move forward as planned. We will notify players of any changes as soon as possible.
We are very sorry to all of you who support FFTCG, and especially those who were planning to travel to this event. This was not an easy decision to make, and we hope that we will see you in the upcoming events season.
