MOLTEN METAL RETURNS TO THE CARRIE FURNACES!!

Rivers of Steel Arts (RoSA) presents this exciting family friendly event highlighting all HOT art making processes. The festival features booths dedicated to glass flame-working, ceramics, molten lava, bronze casting and cast iron! Visitors can expect a day day filled with live music, local eats, HOT art and COOL treats!  

All ages are welcome and kids UNDER 18 ARE FREE!

Get into the mix with a variety of HANDS ON ACTIVITIES for kids and adults. Pittsburgh Glass Center will be on site with live flame-working demos and glass workshops. Watch artists from Carbon Arts @ Carrie cast molten metal and fire your own ceramic piece with Millvale's TON Pottery. TechShop is bringing the FIRE PIANO along with blacksmithing demos. Local musicians The Bessemers will keep the music going all day while the Mobile Sculpture Workshop offers live welding and metal fabrication demonstrations. Learn about all of these exciting processes at the Carrie Furnaces National Historic Landmark where over 1,250 tons of molten metal was poured daily!

Bring the kids to experience a range of hands on workshops starting at just $5! Be sure to purchase your workshop tickets and tours in advance because these sell out quickly!  Please note that the Bring a Mold workshop is $35 and includes the option of joining our official casting team!
