Event Description
60th Annual Home Tours "Be My Valentine"

Start at any home on this tour:

1406 South Street: The mid-century-modernish style home was built in 1988 with contemporary panache. Its side-entrance is hidden behind a privacy fence, but the architectural wow-factor is the house’s front wall of 14 glass-paneled doors and windows. Plantation shutters abound, collectibles from around the world flourish throughout.

1305 Reynolds: This home was initially built as part of a compound on United Street. Legally separated, then renovated in 2011, the side-entrance door is an exquisite Indonesian pearl-inset portal rebuilt to fit the house, similar to other fine wooden doors and artifacts inside.

1307 Truman: Fronting Bayview Park, and a beauty among Truman Avenue’s Mansion Row, the late 1800s 5-bed/7-bath Victorian manor exudes charm and history, including former life as the Women’s Guild headquarters until 1941.

1212 Newton: Hard to believe this classic architectural charmer was built in 2001. With double galleries, front and back, elegant interior staircase balustrades, butler’s pantry and more, its old-but-new design fits perfectly into the Meadows’ historic neighborhood.

618 Grinnell: The eyebrow-style architecture of this late 1800s home is unique to Key West. Awarded for its careful renovation in 2011-2013, the mostly Dade County Pine structure features hand-painted palm motifs above the front rooms’ picture hanging rails. What’s more, this house has good feng shui.

The annual Key West Home Tours™ is one of the oldest and longest-running home tours in America, with the first tour in 1960. Old Island Restoration Foundation (OIRF) conducts the tours and they are funded in part by our generous supporters. Each tour features five lovely homes and gardens reflecting the varied tastes and originality of their owners.

You will be enchanted by exquisite restorations, creative renovations and delightful interiors featuring art collections, antiques, and much more. All proceeds from the tours stay in our local community fulfilling OIRF’s mission of “Celebrating and sustaining Key West’s unique architecture, culture, and history.” Grants are provided to local homeowners and non-profits to fix up their buildings in the historic district, scholarships are provided to Key West High School students and funds are used to maintain Key West Oldest House Museum and Garden.

NOTE: There is no transportation offered between homes during this event.
