LITTLE EXPLORERS NATURE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

Explore nature with your toddler or preschooler! Nature Preschool programs are open to children ages 2-6 with an adult. Classes include nature walks, stories, songs, and other activities. 
Nature ABCs and 1,2,3s and movement activities are part of the fun.
Choose either 10:30-11:30 am or 12:30-1:30 pm session.

These prices listed below include
the service fee at checkout.

Fees:

Fees: Members (Family level and up) $6 per child/adult pair
Fee includes admission to the Gardens and Nature Walk
(April to October) and the Butterfly House (June 17 to September 30).

Tues. Sept.10 Flutterby Butterflies Our meadow is aflutter with butterflies this time of year. We will visit the Butterfly House and the surrounding meadow to find different stages of development in a butterfly’s life.

Wed., Sept.25 The Mighty Oak Many animals rely on this majestic tree for food and shelter. You might have one of the many varieties in your yard!

Wed. Oct.9 Amazing Apples! Crunch! This delicious snack is enjoyed by humans and animals alike. (And they’re good for you!) Yum!

Tues., Oct.29 Batty Bats Did you know that bats can eat thousands of bugs in one evening? Let’s learn about cool bat facts as we read about these fascinating flyers of the night.

Tues., Nov.12  Plant Your Socks Bring an old pair of socks to pull over your shoes for our walk in the meadow. We will collect seeds on them to investigate and plant at home.

Wed., Dec.11 Lunch for a Bear Let’s learn about Maryland’s black bear—what they eat and where they live and how they are preparing for their winter rest.
