2016. USA. Directed by K8 Hardy. Video, photography, and performance artist K8 Hardy makes her cinematic debut with this personal, joyful document of her shifting fashion tastes from 2001 to 2012. Her attempt to “make a record of the way a young lesbian feminist dressed in her coming of age” results in a work that is part video blog, part fashion exposé. Shot using the same “shitty” Mini-DV camera until the day it broke down, Hardy’s film is not just a snapshot of her life, but a contemporary queer punk portrait. 82 min.
