Join The Hermitage as we host the Ulster Historical Foundation of Belfast, Northern Ireland and explore the Irish and Scottish roots of Middle Tennessee. Whether you are a beginner interested in starting your own family research, or a skilled genealogist, everyone will enjoy this evening workshop with Ulster’s expert researchers as they dive into the many resources available for discovering your roots. President Jackson’s own family, including his wife Rachel and her Donelson connections, will be included as a case study for how to use the online archives and documents available for building your family history. $15/person (Hermitage Members are free). Light refreshments will be served.
If you’d like more individual attention, book a private consultation session with the Ulster Society’s research team and take advantage of their expertise while you can! The Tennessee State Library & Archives will also be on hand for questions. 30 minute sessions available to reserve between 12:00pm-4:30pm. $45/session (up to 2 people can participate) and admission to the evening workshop is included. Spaces are limited, be sure to book your spot here!
