Hailing from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Terri got her start at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, a honky-tonk bar in Nashville, signed with Mercury Records and emerged as a distinctive voice in country music.  The eight-time Canadian Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year has also taken home the CCMA Female Vocalist of the Year award five times an she is the only Canadian female artist to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
