Emotion Improv Class: SINGLE-USE PASS

Create characters with strong emotional points of view!

Often, people are drawn to doing comedy because it is a natural defense mechanism against feeling and/or showing emotion. However, without emotional investment, there is no scene, no story, no comedy. To be a master improviser, you must know how to show and play with a wide range of emotions in your scenes. In this class designed by Stacey Hallal, students will practice a variety of techniques to create characters with strong emotional points of view. Learn what emotions you play easily, what emotions cause stumbling blocks in your scene work, how to unlock the key to great scenework, and how to practice listening with your whole body, allowing yourself to be affected emotionally.

Students who purchase the 7 CLASS MULTI-PASS save 35.00 and are also invited to an Instructor Student Jam to be held in the Curious Comedy Main Theater on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 7PM-9PM.

You can buy a 7 CLASS MULTI-PASS to get register for all 7 skill-focus classes, or select any number of SINGLE USE passes to register for one class at a time.

ATTENTION:

• This class will be in person at Curious Comedy Theater. All Instructors are fully vaccinated. For everyone’s safety ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE VACCINATED and be willing to show proof of vaccination in the form of their vaccination card.
