We’re excited to bring back one of the must-see indie films of the summer, Bo Burnham’s EIGHTH GRADE. This remarkable film – sometimes painful, sometimes hilarious – takes an honest approach to teen films that is rarely seen. The film’s hero, Kayla (an amazing and fearless Elsie Fisher) isn’t a victim, but she’s also not a cool kid, nor really an outcast nerd. She doesn’t have perfect skin and she doesn’t know where she fits in. So she’s pretty much your basic suburban teen: awkward, shy, pimply, searching, exploring, embarrassing herself, and, sometimes, succeeding.
