"Catch Me at The Block" Drive-In Musical

“Catch Me at the Block,” NHHS Musical Comes to the Big Screen

The North Hills High School Drama Club, in partnership with the Block Northway, Ross Township Parks & Recreation and Police Departments, are pleased to present a Drive-in showing of the 2020 spring musical “Catch Me if You Can.”  The show was canceled due to building closures taking place just 5 days before it was set to open in March.  Through the district’s Athletics and Activities Return to Play plan, members of the cast and crew were able to come together for rehearsals and recording sessions in a socially distanced and safe manner, allowing the creation of a video performance.

On Friday and Saturday, September 25-26 at 8:00PM, the southwest parking lot (in front of Carter’s and Lands End) will be transformed into a Drive-in Movie Theater for 2 showings of the musical video.  Cars will park every other space to allow for social distancing, and several of the Block restaurants will offer a special menu of food items to be ordered ahead of time. Tables will be set up outside to pick up food orders to enjoy in vehicles while watching the show.

The staff, cast, and crew are thankful to North Hills administration and board for allowing the creation of this video, showcasing the hard work of the talented performers.  With so much being taken away during the pandemic last spring, this is certainly something worth celebrating!
