Denver Walker and Nathan Mills

Denver Walker graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor in Music Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2013. At VCU she was awarded the Jesus Silva Merit Scholarship. Denver studied with David Toussaint, John Patykula and Charlie Moeser. During her undergraduate career, Denver taught private lessons and performed regularly as a solo guitarist and in many chamber settings. The most notable was the flamenco inspired group, Sueños Gitanos. Sueños Gitanos was featured multiple times on the VCU Flamenco Festival series and has performed at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) and Agecroft Hall. Upon graduating, Denver taught full-time at Key Signatures and St. Catherine’s school, and performed in the Richmond area.

Denver currently is pursing her Master’s degree in Music Performance at Shenandoah Conservatory where she studies with renowned pedagogue and artist, Julian Gray. At Shenandoah, Denver earned a competitive assistantship. Outside of school Denver performs in the Winchester and Richmond areas and teaches Skype/FaceTime lessons. She will graduate in spring of 2017.

Denver plays a cedar-top Tommy Rodriguez custom guitar.

Nathan Mills received his Master's degree in classical guitar performance from East Carolina University. Prior to that, he graduated with a Bachelor in Music Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was awarded the Jesús Silva Merit Scholarship for guitar.

Nathan currently teaches and performs throughout the Richmond area. His latest project is performing and teaching his own arrangements on his new site, www.BeyondTheGuitar.com. His arrangements combine the beauty of the classical guitar with music rarely heard on the instrument, using movie, TV and video game soundtracks as source material.
