December Roam on Your Own

During this "Roam on Your Own" Weekend, visitors will be allowed to explore Lyndhurst on their own! See the mansion transformed into an extravagant wonderland of holiday splendor!  Dozens of Christmas trees are expertly decorated and designed to complement the elegant period furnishings within the rooms of the house. Our curators bring out rarely-seen items that belonged to Lyndhurst’s former owners, the Goulds, allowing an opportunity to see many of these glittering possessions usually tucked away in our archives.  From traditions to trends, Lyndhurst celebrates the season in style and glamour!

Lyndhurst Tour guides will be stationed throughout the house to answer questions.

Timed entry tickets are available between  10 am - 3 pm, Saturday, December 30th and Sunday, December 31st. 

MANSION ENTRY begins promptly at the designated time. Please arrive 20 minutes before the entry time printed on your ticket in order to have time to park and check-in at the Welcome Center.

The Lyndhurst Gift Shop will be open for Holiday shopping!
